Mast and push-around lift hire

A mast lift raises a one-person platform straight up on a vertical mast. Self-propelled models drive while raised on firm, level floors; push-around models are wheeled into place by hand and raised on the spot. Some mast booms add a short jib on top that reaches over shelving or plant. Hire one for a single job or a longer fit-out, with the price or quote shown on every machine.

Mast and push-around lifts go straight up, so they are never cherry pickers. Push-around scissor lifts are listed with the scissor lifts.

Questions

What is the difference between a mast lift and a push-around lift?
A self-propelled mast lift drives while the platform is raised, so you can move along an aisle without coming down. A push-around lift is wheeled into place by hand, then raised, and must be lowered before it is moved.
How much does mast lift hire cost?
Machines you can book online lead with the price for a week's hire, inc and ex VAT, and list hires from 2 days in a table of prices by hire length. Machines marked quote only are priced for your dates on request. Delivery and collection are priced by your postcode before you pay. The optional damage waiver is included by default, and you can remove it by uploading your own hired-in plant insurance (HiPI) certificate.
What IPAF category is a mast lift?
Self-propelled mast lifts are IPAF category 3a (mobile vertical). Push-around lifts, which do not drive while raised, are category 1a, and IPAF also runs a PAV course for push-around machines. Each machine page shows its category.
Is a mast lift a cherry picker?
No. Mast lifts go straight up. Cherry picker is the everyday name for jointed, up-and-over boom lifts. A mast boom adds a short jib that reaches over shelving, but it is still listed here with the mast lifts.
