How it works
  • Fixed end date, no open-ended charges

You choose your start and end dates when you book and pay for those days up front. Nothing is left running until someone rings to stop it.

  • No ringing round to off-hire

On delivered hires we arrange collection from your end date automatically. On click and collect hires, you bring the machine back on your end date.

  • Your hire online, any time

Sign in to see each hire's dates and progress, download invoices, check payments and upload documents such as proof of address or your HiPI certificate.

  • Need longer? Extend it online

Pick a new end date on your order in My Account, see the price and pay. You can still call us with your order reference.

Delivery to your site

Enter your postcode on any machine page and we price delivery and collection before you pay. You choose the start and end dates, we bring the machine, and we collect it when the hire ends.

IPAF training or an operator

Every machine lists its IPAF category so you know which PAL card the operator needs. No trained operator? IPAF courses are coming soon, or hire the machine with one of ours.

Questions before you hire

What is the difference between working height and platform height?

Platform height is how high the floor of the basket or deck goes. Working height adds roughly two metres for a person standing and reaching. We quote working height first because that is the number that matches the job.

Do I need an IPAF licence to use a lift?

Anyone operating a mobile elevating work platform should be trained for that type of machine, and IPAF PAL cards are the standard UK proof. Each machine page shows its IPAF category. If nobody on site is trained, book an IPAF course with us or ask for operated hire.

How much does delivery cost?

Many machines include delivery and collection in the hire price, and the rest are priced to your postcode. Each machine page shows which, plus any area surcharge, before you pay, so the total you see is the total you are charged.

Is the damage waiver included?

Yes, every price on a machine page includes it. Optional damage waiver included. Hold your own HiPI? Upload your certificate to remove it. It comes off your price once we accept your certificate.

Do I need to call to off-hire?

No. You set the end date when you book. On delivered hires we arrange collection from that date, so there is nothing to ring about. On click and collect hires, bring the machine back on your end date.

Can I extend my hire?

Yes. Sign in to My Account, open the order and choose Extend: pick a new end date, see the price and pay. You can also call us with your order reference before your end date. Please ask at least 24 hours before your end date to avoid an administration fee.

What is the shortest hire?

2 days. Machine pages lead with the price for a week's hire and list shorter and longer hires, from 2 days, in a table of prices by hire length, inc and ex VAT.

Which lift is right for my job?

Scissor lifts suit straight up work on firm floors. Boom lifts reach up and out: an articulated boom, the classic cherry picker, bends over obstacles and a telescopic boom gives the longest straight reach. Spider lifts are tracked booms that cross lawns and rough ground and work from levelled outriggers, and the narrowest models pass a garden gate. Van mounts are best when you move between lots of short jobs. The which lift do I need guide takes you through the choice step by step.

Can you supply an operator?

Yes. Operated hire comes with a trained operator and is arranged by enquiry so we can check the site first.
