About this machine
A rotating telehandler (often called a roto) has its telescopic boom on a turret that turns a full 360 degrees. It sets up on four stabilisers and can then lift and place loads all around itself without moving, which makes it part telehandler and part crane.
It is not a MEWP or a cherry picker: it is built to lift materials, not people. What it can lift falls as the boom extends and rises, so every lift is planned from the machine's load chart, and lifting operations need a plan under LOLER.
The published sheet used gives no stowed dimensions, so we confirm the width, height and stabiliser footprint with your quote.
Figures shown are the manufacturer's published figures for the Magni RTH 6.35, a common machine in this class. The make supplied may vary, so we confirm the exact machine and its figures with your quote.

Frequently asked questions
- What training does the operator need?
- Telehandlers are not MEWPs, so IPAF cards do not cover them. Operators must be trained and competent on the type of machine, which HSE's code of practice L117 covers. A rotating telehandler needs 360 slew training: on the CPCS scheme that is category A77 (Telescopic Handler 360 Slew), separate from the A17 card for fixed telehandlers.
- How high and how far can it lift?
- The published maximum lift height is 34.9m and the maximum forward reach is 27m, both on stabilisers. Capacity falls as the boom rises and extends, so check the load chart for your heaviest lift at its height and distance.
- How much can it lift?
- The published maximum capacity is 6,000kg, with the boom close in. At full height and reach it lifts far less, so we confirm the load chart with your quote.
- Can I use it indoors?
- No. It is a large diesel machine built for outdoor sites, and engine exhaust makes it unsuitable for enclosed spaces.
- How heavy is it?
- It weighs 24,000kg. Check doorways, gates, lifts and floor loading against those figures before you book.
- Is delivery included?
- Delivery and collection are priced with your quote, by your site postcode. Tell us the postcode and dates in the enquiry form on this page.
