About this machine
This is operated hire: the truck mounted platform arrives with a trained operator who holds the IPAF card for it, drives it to site, sets it up and works the controls. You do not need your own operator or IPAF card to hire it.
A truck mounted platform is a static boom built onto a lorry chassis. It drives to the job, sets up on its own outriggers and works from where it stands, so IPAF classes it as category 1b (static boom). Truck mounts carry a larger boom on a heavier chassis, for higher work from the street.
Operated hire is quoted and booked by enquiry, not online. The price on this page comes from our booking system for the minimum hire, inc and ex VAT. We confirm the final price, the operator's hours, parking and any permits or traffic management when we quote.
We supply any equivalent platform that meets the headline working height, so the make and model can vary. Outreach and basket capacity are shown as typical ranges for the class, from makers' sheets; ask us if the job needs a set figure.
Good for
- High facades and roofs from the street
- Utilities and telecoms work

Frequently asked questions
- Do I need an IPAF card or my own operator?
- No. This is operated hire: a trained operator comes with the machine, holds the IPAF PAL card for category 1B (static boom platforms) and works the controls.
- Can it work indoors?
- No. It is a road vehicle that works outdoors, from the road, the kerb or a drive.
- What do you need from me for a quote?
- Your site postcode, dates and hours, what you need to reach and how high, where the vehicle can park, and anything overhead such as cables or trees. We use that to check the machine suits the job before we quote.
- How does it get to site?
- The operator drives it to your site and away again. Travel, parking and any permits are confirmed in your quote.
- How much does it cost to hire?
- Operated hire is priced for your job. Tell us your site postcode, dates and what you need to reach in the enquiry form on this page, and we will come back with a price for the machine and its operator, inc and ex VAT.
