JLG 600AJ 20.42m diesel articulated boom lift

Frequently asked questions

What licence do I need to operate it?

Operators should hold an IPAF PAL card for category 3B (mobile boom platforms). We can point you to training if you need it.

How high and how far can I reach?

The published working height is 20.42m (67ft), platform height 18.42m (60ft 5in), with up to 12.22m (40ft 1in) of outreach. Its model name gives its platform height in feet, rounded, so it is hired as a 60ft boom lift. Working height assumes a person of average height standing on the platform, so leave a margin for tools and fixings.

Can I use it indoors?

It is built for outdoor work. Diesel power and a sturdy chassis suit outdoor sites, rough ground and long shifts away from a charger. For indoor work, choose an electric or hybrid machine.

How big and heavy is it?

Stowed, it is 8.98m long, 2.49m wide and 2.55m high, and it weighs 10,620kg. Check doorways, gates, lifts and floor loading against those figures before you book.

Is delivery included?

Yes. Delivery and collection are included in the hire price. Some areas, such as Greater London and Scotland, carry an area surcharge, and the postcode check on this page shows it before you book.

What does the price include?

The main price is for a week's hire of the machine at our week rate, inc and ex VAT, with the 2-day price under it. A machine without a week rate shows its 2-day price instead. Optional damage waiver included. Hold your own HiPI? Upload your certificate to remove it. Delivery and collection are included, plus any area surcharge for your postcode, and other hire lengths are priced when you pick your dates.
