About this machine
A spider lift is a compact boom lift on rubber tracks. It drives with the boom stowed and works only once it is set up and levelled on its four outriggers, with spreader pads under each foot.
At 0.78m wide and 1.99m high it suits garden side access and wide single doors. Check the route, the floor or ground strength and the space for the outriggers before you book.
Figures shown are the manufacturer's published figures for the Teupen LEO13GT, a common machine in this class. The make supplied may vary, so we confirm the exact machine and its figures with your quote.

Frequently asked questions
- What licence do I need to operate it?
- Operators should hold an IPAF PAL card for category 1B (static boom platforms). We can point you to training if you need it.
- How high and how far can I reach?
- The published working height is 12.75m (41ft 10in), with up to 6.05m (19ft 10in) of outreach. Working height assumes a person of average height standing on the platform, so leave a margin for tools and fixings.
- Can I use it indoors?
- Yes, on mains power. It has a 230V electric drive for indoor work and a diesel engine for outdoors, subject to floor loading.
- How big and heavy is it?
- Stowed, it is 4.75m long, 0.78m wide and 1.99m high, and it weighs 1,640kg. Check doorways, gates, lifts and floor loading against those figures before you book.
- How much weight can the platform take?
- The safe working load is 200kg, which covers everyone on the platform plus their tools and materials.
- Is delivery included?
- Delivery and collection are priced with your quote, by your site postcode. Tell us the postcode and dates in the enquiry form on this page.
